About the job
In this role, you will:
• Resolve complex workplace conflicts involving interpersonal issues, harassment, discrimination, and systemic dysfunction.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders, human resources teams, and ministry clients on conflict resolution and workplace restoration and improving operational and/or cultural outcomes.
• Design and deliver tailored services such as conflict coaching, training, mediation, facilitated dialogue, workplace reviews and restorations.
• Oversee relationships with external vendors delivering alternative dispute resolution and workplace review services.
• Analyze conflict trends and systemic patterns to inform policy and improve workplace culture.
• Prepare confidential reports and briefings for executives and stakeholders.

What you bring to the team
Conflict Management, Mediation, and Human Resources Knowledge
• Expertise in conflict resolution, workplace restoration, mediation, facilitation, and change management.
• Ability to de-escalate situations effectively and negotiate solutions in complex organizational settings.
• Strong understanding of human resources principles, collective agreements, and their practical application.
• Familiarity with legislation including the Ontario Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Respectful Workplace Policy.
Communication, Interpersonal, and Relationship Management Skills:
• Ability to manage sensitive issues with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
• Experience applying trauma-informed and culturally competent approaches.
• Skill in building trust and navigating diverse team and labour relations dynamics across all organizational levels.
• Political acuity and emotional intelligence to manage complex and high-stakes workplace situations.
Research and Analytical Skills:
• Ability to assess conflict situations, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions towards effective outcomes.
• Proficiency in gathering and analyzing data from interviews, focus groups, surveys, and organizational/HR records.
• Capacity to identify systemic trends and develop strategic interventions.
Human Rights Knowledge:
• Applied knowledge of alternative dispute resolution strategies to address harassment and discrimination.
• Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and systemic barriers such as racism, sexism, and ableism.
• Ability to integrate intersectional perspectives into conflict resolution and workplace restoration.
