The OHT Policy and Operations Branch is responsible for the implementation, support, ongoing operations, and policy development for
Ontario Health Teams - Ontario's transformational initiative to build a connected health care system centred around patients, families and caregivers. The branch also supports the Minister of Health's Patient and Family Advisory Council.
We are looking for a motivated professional to lead, coordinate and manage the development, assessment and implementation of health care service delivery and payment models that aim to improve quality and population health in Ontario in a sustainable way.
About the job
In this role, you will:
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight on assigned projects and ensure alignment of objectives and recommendations with Ministry's public commitments and senior management direction
• Provide expert advice in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of evidence-based policies and programs at a system level
• Plan, develop and lead projects from concept to adoption, and establish accountable project management plans
• Provide strategic evidence-based advice, interpretation and options in response to a range of health economic, program, process, outcome and service delivery issues
• Lead the review, development and negotiation of accountability agreements and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
• Prepare, recommend and manage project budgets and estimates, monitor and control expenditures and ensure the authorization of payments within delegated authority

• You have expertise in managing the needs and complex relationships of health care sector stakeholders, including affected populations
Communication, Relationship Management and Facilitation Skills:

• create, lead and present briefings on complex issues
• work collaboratively to resolve issues, negotiate changes and shifts in priorities
• lead consultations with stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and collaborative problem-solving
Project Management and Leadership:
You can:
• champion project management approaches, coach staff and provide expert advice to management and clients on performance improvement
• effectively complete project deliverables from initial concept through completion
• support change by seeking out new ideas, developing innovations, conducting risk assessments and creating strategic solutions
Issues Management:
You are able to:
• seek out and effectively analyze information to understand key business issues to identify potential solutions that could impact our business
• facilitate resolution of contentious issues working collaboratively with stakeholders and with a view to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Research, Evaluation and Analytical Skills:
You can:
• demonstrate sound judgment, sensitivity and a high degree of political acuity implementation
• conduct independent research and analysis according to accepted methods to prepare briefing notes, backgrounders, literature reviews, and environmental scans
