About the job
As a Senior Developer/Ops, you will:
• lead the development, maintenance, and operations of a cloud-hosted website, ensuring high availability, performance, and uptime
• contribute across the tech stack, focusing primarily on either CMS (e.g., Drupal) for content modeling, APIs, caching, and security, or backend integration for API design, authentication, and data composition—with secondary support for the other domain
• manage and optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, reliability, and compliance, while maintaining cost-effectiveness
• design and operate CI/CD pipelines, continuously improving architectures, tools, and solutions
• deliver new interactive modules and iterative enhancements, using analytics and user feedback to guide improvements
• provide technical leadership, collaborating with relevant parties to deliver end-to-end products and features, and ensuring technical suitability of products
What you bring to the team
Technical knowledge and skills
You have:
• extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless architectures, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• experience with CMS platforms like Drupal, supporting interactive content, multimedia integration, user data management, modular feature expansion, and custom theming
• skilled in front-end and back-end development, using technologies like React, Vue.js, Angular, PHP, Node.js, and .NET to build seamless, high-performance user interfaces and server-side components
• proficient in designing and implementing APIs, ensuing scalability, security and efficient data exchange between front-end, back-end, and third-party services
• experienced in setting up and managing automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab, development workflows, and cloud monitoring tools to support development cycles and reliability
Problem solving and reasoning skills
You can:
• diagnose and resolve platform issues related to performance, security and functionality
• identify root causes of failures or slowdowns in front-end, back-end or cloud infrastructure
• conduct risk assessments and implement contingency plans, including preventative measures to address potential issues
• prioritize feature updates, infrastructure improvements and operational tasks based on impact and urgency
• monitor for emerging risks and recommend proactive adjustments
Communication and interpersonal skills
You can:
• lead team discussions and develop strategic technical solutions
• document processes, information and application requirements
• communicate with clarity and structure to elicit cooperation from cross-functional teams, manage expectations and drive product/project alignment
• prepare and present technical documents, reports, recommendations and manage issues and status meetings, including user testing documentation to communicate project progress
