Are you a strategic relationship-builder with a passion for public engagement and a talent for connecting diverse voices to meaningful change? The IPC is looking for aSenior Advisor Program Delivery and External Relations to join our Strategic Initiatives and External Relations Division (SIERD).

In this key role, you'll help shape how the IPC connects with interested parties across Ontario, Canada, and internationally, fostering dialogue, building partnerships, and advancing the IPC's mission to champion access to information and privacy rights.

The  IPC is an independent office of the Ontario Legislature and an administrative tribunal responsible for overseeing Ontario's access and privacy laws. These include the  Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), the   Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), and the   Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA).

About the job

As a Senior Advisor Program Delivery and External Relations, you will:
Advise on strategic engagement efforts with all parties interested in or impacted by IPC's initiatives.
Plan and execute events, workshops, and consultations to drive two-way communication and collaboration.
Monitor and evaluate engagement activities, track metrics, and leverage data to inform outreach strategies.
Collaborate across teams—communications, policy, legal, and operations—to ensure consistent messaging and unified engagement.
Support the execution of programs and events, including research, briefing materials, scheduling, procurement, and administrative coordination.

What you bring to the team


Education and Experience

•Post-secondary education in Political Science, Communications, Media, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•At least 5 years of experience in stakeholder or government relations, communications, or public policy engagement roles.

Knowledge Requirements

•Strong understanding of engagement models and inclusive outreach practices.
•Familiarity with databases, CRMs, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills and Abilities

•A strategic thinker with a proven ability to build meaningful connections.
•Demonstrated collaboration, professionalism, diplomacy, and adaptability in team-based and independent settings to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
•Ability to effectively use feedback to inform planning and drive continuous improvement, while demonstrating proactiveness and accountability.

Asset Qualifications

•Strong oral and written communication skills in French are an asset.
