Effective, April 1, 2025, the new salary range for this position will be $78,327 o $112,863 per year in accordance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions.

The Energy Efficiency Policy and Programs Branch within the Distribution, Conservation and Innovation Policy Division is seeking a Project Advisor to support the implementation of public-facing programs. In this dynamic role, you'll lead data analysis, evaluate business processes, and engage with stakeholders to enhance energy efficiency and conservation initiatives that benefit communities across Ontario.
This position is supporting as well as leading certain aspects of program delivery and policy development for three energy efficiency and conservation programs. With the release of the Integrated Energy Plan, this is an opportunity to help deliver on commitments made to enhance energy efficiency and work with stakeholders towards regional energy planning as well as enhancing access to energy data.

About the job
In this position you will:
• support the delivery of energy benchmarking and municipal funding programs.
• conduct data analysis of program data to support policy and program development across the ministry.
• support the evaluation of programs and projects and make recommendations for enhancement.
• provide client support and provide solutions to incoming issues, questions etc.
• manage projects by establishing priorities, developing workplans, and monitoring budget
• liaise with internal and external stakeholders to discuss and enhance policies and programs
• prepare reports, presentations, communications and briefing notes for senior management
What you bring to the team
Research, analytical and problem-solving skills:
You can:
• research and analyze data and industry trends to proactively manage programs and partnerships.
• identify issues, assess risks and develop/recommend solutions and best practices.
• review business processes and tools to identify opportunities, options and make recommendations for improvement.
• provide data management knowledge to support the collection of data.
Project management skills:
You have:
• knowledge of project management theories, practices and techniques
• the ability to create project plans, establish goals and priorities, assign tasks and resolve problems/conflicts
• experience with forecasting, obtaining resources, contract management, and monitoring budgets to ensure deliverables are met
• time management skills and the ability to shift tasks based on priority
Relationship management skills:
You:
• can build and maintain effective relationships within the ministry, and with ministry partners and stakeholders
• have influential skills to resolve conflict with stakeholders and achieve common goals and objectives
• have consultation and consensus-building skills to work effectively with stakeholders
Interpersonal and communication skills:
You have:
• tact and diplomacy to communicate on sensitive issues
• verbal and written communication skills, and have experience in preparing briefing and decision notes, data graphics, slide decks, and other materials
• experience with making recommendations to senior advisors and management
• the ability to participate in working groups/committees
• attention to detail and can prepare materials using computer software (e.g., word processing, database and presentation software).
