Join the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement as a Junior Project Manager with IT Source, where you'll contribute to meaningful business and technology initiatives across government. This opportunity offers variety, flexibility, and growth through structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on experience. As part of a dynamic team, you'll support high-impact projects aligned with government priorities, rotating through assignments that span multiple ministries and locations across the GTA and Oshawa.

About the job

As a Junior Project Manager, you'll play a key role in facilitating communication between team members and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely problem-solving. You'll be responsible for maintaining documentation, tracking progress, managing workflows, and supporting the achievement of project goals.

As part of our team, you will:
• provide project management and administrative support to teams and ministry partners
• gather and refine requirements to develop detailed schedules and integrated project plans
• coordinate task allocation, monitor progress, and manage deadlines
• track project risks, issue timely status updates, and offer technical advice to clients to support effective problem-solving
• maintain accurate project documentation and assist in the planning, development, and preparation of related materials and formal submissions
• act as a liaison between team members, stakeholders, and management

What you bring to the team


Project management knowledge:

You have demonstrated expertise in:
• applying project management methodologies, techniques, and control methods
• using tools and software aligned with project life cycle methodologies
• planning and managing project budgets and resources
• identifying and resolving roadblocks in planning, scheduling, and cost estimation
• creating reports, sharing updates, and recommending solutions to overcome obstacles

Technical skills:

You can:
• manage software/technical projects and oversee critical milestones
• understand and apply standards and policies to support I&IT projects and project components
• plan and monitor operational project management policies and procedures
• use tools like MS Office Suite, Asana, or Trello for scheduling and collaboration

Other essential skills:

You can:
• prepare a wide range of written materials, including submissions and project plans
• foster collaboration across teams and stakeholders
• recommend project management requirements and identify administrative solutions
• conduct assessments and determine project or operational needs
