Join the Central Agencies I&IT Cluster at the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement, where your expertise in InfoSphere DataStage, Cognos, Windows, and DB2 will help shape the future of public service analytics. As an Application Analyst Developer, you'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing applications, risk models, and data solutions within the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics portfolio - contributing to smarter, more informed decisions across government.

About the job

As part of our team, you will:
• plan, schedule, coordinate, evaluate, and report on specific technical aspects to meet work goals
• apply interpretative reasoning to address a variety of application development assignments in diverse situations
• provide technical expertise in system analysis and design, prepare system specifications, and oversee implementation activities
• create prototypes to validate proposed solutions and gather stakeholder feedback
• develop ETL application code and configurations and manage/support applications, reports, and data

What you bring to the team


Technical knowledge and skills:

You have experience with:
• application development using IBM suite of products, including DataStage, Cognos, and DB2
• systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, installation, and operational techniques
• data integration, database design, and data modeling
• interpreting clients' I&IT needs and business environments to define technical scopes of work and offer ongoing guidance to working groups

Reasoning, problem-solving, and planning skills:

You can:
• plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate technical work and services to ensure successful application development and support
• exercise sound judgment to make timely, well-researched recommendations and decisions

Communication and customer service skills:

You can:
• write, explain, and present technical reports and recommendations
• establish and maintain strong working relationships with team members

Research skills:

You can
• maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and advances in IT across various computing platforms
• apply modern configuration, development, analysis, and design techniques
