About the job
In this role, you will:
• maintain databases by capturing data from source documents and inputting information
• type correspondence
• update, purge and maintain files and records
• open, log and distribute mail
• perform mail and stock duties by operating office and postage equipment, and by weighing, packing and lifting supplies
• provide reception and in-person services to walk-in clients, couriers and delivery personnel
What you bring to the team
Technical skills
You have:
• experience using computers and software applications to prepare correspondence, record files, labels, lists and reports.
• arithmetic skills to effectively collect data and statistics to complete production reports.
• keyboarding skills to input, retrieve and save data.
• experience using and maintaining basic office equipment.
Organizational, research and analytical skills
You have:
• organizational skills to prioritize production tasks.
• research and analytical skills to maintain files and production counts, monitor stock levels, ensure information databases are up-to-date and retention schedules/logs are adhered to.
Teamwork and communication skills
You have:
• experience working in a team environment, sharing decision making with co-workers, and coordinating work schedules to ensure operational requirements are met.
• communication and customer service skills to respond to enquiries and report operational issues.
Administrative skills
You have:
• the ability to understand and provide consistent application of regulations, guidelines and office practices and procedures.
• knowledge of records management and inventory and stock management practices.
