Our creative and leading-edge learning environment seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) professional to provide technical, software, hardware, network and diagnostic support to clients and staff. This role will work closely with our Distance Learning and IT teams in promptly responding to issues in a technical help-desk environment and providing expert input into the development of system standards and procedures.

In this role, you will:
- provide technical, software and diagnostic support to clients
- provide on-site network and hardware support to staff
- provides technical support to clients on Ministry and OPC systems including learning management (LMS), work order, knowledge management, and electronic card lock.
- develop technical standards and procedures for computer equipment, software and IT asset control
What you bring to the team
Technical Knowledge:
• You have demonstrated knowledge of micro/personal computer system technologies and operating systems, LAN operating procedures, commonly used application software, and diagnostic software and backup and recovery procedures.
• You have proven knowledge of computer equipment operation and installation procedures to set up and disconnect work stations.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
• You can advise on systems use, problem resolution and provide IT training to staff.
• You have experience writing program documentation, procedures and other technical documentation.
Analytical and Organizational Skills:
• You have organizational skills to prioritize your workload and meet deadlines.
• You can diagnose and correct technological problems, and know when to refer problems to a supervisor/manager.
Training Skills:
• You can apply adult training methods and computer training practices to develop and deliver customized training to various participants.
