About the job
You will:
• conduct analyses of assessment data, execute quality assurance procedures, and prepare assessment and field test reports;
• provide technical psychometric advice related to the design and development of assessment instruments for assigned assessment areas;
• conduct research on psychometric analytical procedures.
What you bring to the team
Knowledge of Educational Psychometrics and Large-Scale Educational Assessment
You have:
• advanced knowledge of psychometrics, educational statistics and statistical measurement and analysis.
• experience with large-scale educational assessments, including assessment design, development, validation and reporting;
• expertise in psychometrics, quantitative and statistical methods including Classical Test Theory (CTT), Item Response Theory (IRT), item calibration, test equating and statistical procedures for handling missing data;
• knowledge of large-scale provincial education assessments, education system monitoring and reporting
• demonstrated programming skills (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SQL) and experience with data validation and data visualization.
Research and Analysis Skills
You have demonstrated ability to:
• conduct psychometric and statistical analysis of assessment data;
• analyse and interpret assessment data to support reporting;
• conduct data processing, validation and quality assurance procedures;
• provide expertise and advice on assessment design and development.
Communication, Consultation and Collaboration Skills
You have demonstrated ability to:
• provide technical guidance and advisory services to cross-functional teams on psychometric components of assessment development, implementation, analysis and reporting;
• communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders and external partners;
• prepare reports, briefings and recommendations for a variety of audiences;
• build and maintain effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.
• work independently, exercise initiative and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• work effectively as a team member or as a project lead depending on the nature of the project
