What can I expect to do in this role?

• Research and analyze court orders, legal documents and other manual and computerized data/information and take appropriate enforcement action
• Take client calls and make outbound calls to determine the nature, scope, degree and impact of family support problems, defuse conflict situations, negotiate and resolve sensitive issues
• Educate and inform clients, partners and stakeholders regarding cases, services and related issues by phone and correspondence
• Manage a large caseload and meet ministry confidentiality provisions
• Utilize word processing software and other case management, financial and program data bases and computer applications to research/access data, update case information and prepare reports

Please note: candidates must be available to work any 7.25 hour shift between 7:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

How do I qualify?

Qualifications - Mandatory

• You are proficient in oral and written French at the advanced level

Technical Skills

• You have the ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable legislation, policies and procedures to determine appropriate enforcement action
• You understand court systems to interpret court orders and other legal documents, ensure compliance, and explain court processes and decisions to clients
• You have computer skills to research and access data, update financial information records, and prepare correspondence

Customer Service, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills

• You can tactfully deal with the public on sensitive issues
• You have facilitation skills to collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders
• You can prepare various reports and correspondence

Organizational and Teamwork Skills

• You have the ability to organize work and caseload using time management tools
• You can work independently as well as part of a team

Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Investigative Skills

• You can research, analyze, and assess financial documents and update financial information records and databases
• You can negotiate payment arrangements with clients
• You can enforce and manage the resolution of complex issues in accordance with court orders, legal documents, and legislation
• You have investigative and conflict resolution skills to deal with sensitive issues and determine appropriate resolution
