About the job

You will:
-attain the experience necessary for your Professional Engineering accreditation
-rotate through a variety of assignments related to the design, construction, traffic management, operation and maintenance of the provincial highway system
-begin the program at a lower classification and progress based on your experience and skills to increasingly challenging projects.

What you bring to the team


Mandatory requirements

• You must have a minimum four-year engineering degree in a discipline such as general civil, geotechnical, traffic management, transportation, structural, materials.
• You must have graduated (undergraduate or post-graduate) between May 2011 and Spring 2013.
• You must have knowledge related to highway design, construction and/or maintenance.
• You must be able to start no later than September 2013.
• You must be able to travel and relocate province wide.

Skills:

Note: You must provide specific and detailed examples in your cover letter of how you have demonstrated the four skills outlined below. Please also include a detailed resume in the same document.

• You have well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
• You have well developed communication, presentation and writing skills.
• You can work co-operatively to lead or work as part of a project team.
• You can plan and organize you work.
