About the job
In this role, you will:
• Identify, analyze and interpret client needs for health data requirements that are housed in database holdings external to the Ministry's authority and control
• Liaise with IT staff for technology support on issues related to new data submission processes
• Assist in the development of tools, standards and guidelines to support the life cycle of imported data
• Conduct quality checks and respond to inquiries
• Support the data submission process by liaising with stakeholders for problem resolution
• Establish and maintain relationships with health data users and other stakeholders.
What you bring to the team
Systems and Database Knowledge
• You have knowledge of financial and information planning systems, websites and databases, common office software applications, SQL, Oracle and Access databases.
• You have knowledge of statistical research methodology, risk assessment techniques, reporting and querying software, business intelligence tools and data quality assurance techniques and tools.
Healthcare Knowledge
• You have general knowledge of the healthcare delivery systems, and health systems operations, issues and standards.
Communications and Relationship Management Skills
• You have oral communication skills and can provide explanation on the application of submission process and data warehousing solutions.
• You have written communication skills to prepare briefing, presentation and training materials, specifications, and plain language reports.
• You have relationship management skill and can foster co-operative business relationships with stakeholders.
Other Essential Skills
• You have conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze and interpret client needs, research new data sources and to address submission issues.
• Strong project management, planning and organizational skills to undertake a demanding workload to meet strict quality and deadline requirements.
