The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) is seeking individuals with the required skills to lead/manage the delivery of consultation services to client registrants on licensing/registration regulatory requirements of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO).

About the job

You will conduct financial and business risk analysis and assessment of unique license applications and complex financial product and transaction submissions from financial institutions, insurance companies and co-operatives that are regulated in Ontario by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO); develop sound and supportable recommendations to the CEO/Superintendent on whether or not licenses should be issued or approval be granted.; act as the primary resource to FSCO management/staff on matters related to licensing and statutory approvals, and to lead/conduct consultation relationships with sector representatives.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of license and registration requirements for insurance agents and adjusters, mortgage brokers, co-operatives, credit unions and caisses populaires, insurance companies and loan and trust corporations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting standards and practices in these sectors.
• Demonstrated advance research skills and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational, project management, multi-tasking skills, and computer skills.
