Do you have a strong interest in the study of demographic and socio-economic data? If so, consider this rewarding opportunity to provide expert advice and support to the Office of Francophone Affairs (OFA) in the integration of various corporate and administrative initiatives.

About the job

You will:
• plan and coordinate the purchase, treatment, analysis and reporting of demographic information on Ontario's Francophones
• prepare specialized reports and statistical materials for a variety of users such as the Minister, OFA, ministries, other levels of government, and the general public
• lead strategic inter-ministerial initiatives in the field of French-language Services accountability
• network and work collaboratively with various public and broader public organizations
• provide advice and support to external partners on studies pertaining to Ontario's Francophones
• prepare a variety of tools to assist ministries in fulfilling their French-language services responsibilities

What you bring to the team


Mandatory requirements

• You have written and verbal communication skills in English and French at the superior level

Technical Knowledge:

• You have excellent knowledge of statistical research and manipulation as well as demographic analysis methods, techniques and skills
• You can perform quantitative and computer-based research and analysis of demographic and socio-economic data
• You are proficient in the use, capabilities and operations of various database software programs
• You have knowledge of Ontario's Francophone community and its organizations

Project Management:

• You have strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills to plan and coordinate a range of concurrent projects and related activities

Other Essential Skills/Knowledge:

• You have strong consulting and negotiation skills
• You can prepare issue sheets, briefing notes, correspondence and related tools
• You are able to interpret and apply knowledge of the French Language Services Act as well as other policies, directives, guidelines and procedures related to the planning and delivery of French-language services
