The Economic and Revenue Forecasting and Analysis Branch is looking for a highly motivated professional to join the team and provide analysis and advice on macroeconomic policy issues.

About the job

In this role, you will:
• prepare economic analysis and forecasts using economic models
• monitor the Ontario economy and conduct statistical and econometric analysis
• write briefing notes, conduct research and prepare analytical papers
• support the Budget and Fiscal and Economic Statement process with current economic analysis and projections

What you bring to the team


Technical Expertise:

• You have experience in statistical and econometric analysis, including forecasting techniques
• You have knowledge of economic trends and current economic issues, as well as public sector fiscal policy processes
• You have demonstrated quantitative skills including experience with economic models and methods

Analytical, Research, Project Management and Organizational Skills:

• You can conduct applied economic research and analysis
• You can interpret economic developments including implications for the province's economic and revenue outlook
• You can plan and carry out complex assignments to deadlines with minimal direction

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• You are able to describe and explain complex economic issues in formal written documents
• You are able to present complex economic and statistical material to senior management
• You demonstrate judgement, tact and direction when working with internal and external stakeholders
