In this role, you will be responsible for providing customer service at a public counter in a fast paced environment as well, as clerical and cashier duties.

About the job

You will:
• receive, review, process and issue court documents at a public counter;
• prepare court documents in electronic format;
• respond to telephone/counter inquiries and provide information to clients, legal professionals, etc.;
• provide information and assistance regarding procedures for completing and filing forms according to local practices, policies and applicable rules;
• collect fees, process payments, and issue invoices;
• input/update cases on court computerized systems; and,
• maintain filing systems and provide administrative/clerical support.

Communication and Customer Service skills:

• You have demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and communication skills to assist a diverse clientele by explaining complex processes and working collaboratively with others;
• You have professionalism, tact, discretion and judgment to provide information to clients and legal professionals;

Administrative skills:

• You have demonstrated organizational and time management skills in order to meet deadlines and set priorities in a high pressure and fast paced environment;
• You value accuracy and attention to detail in your work;
• You have analytical skills to receive, record and schedule court documents at the public counter;

Knowledge:

• You have the ability to acquire and apply knowledge of court practices and procedures as well as relevant legislation;
• You have knowledge of personal computer software packages such as word processing, spreadsheet and database applications; and,
• You have knowledge of office administration and basic mathematical skills to collect fees and process payments.
