About the job
Duties Will Include: Preparing complex cases and conducting prosecutions for criminal and quasi-criminal offences in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice; providing professional advice to police, related agencies, and the general public on criminal matters; drafting indictments, examining Informations and other documents; assisting other counsel with prosecutions, research, etc.

Membership in the Law Society of Upper Canada
Knowledge & Skills
knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, criminal law procedures, rules of evidence and case law; good judgment and analytical ability to determine appropriate legal remedies; excellent understanding of the role and function of a prosecutor normally gained through years of experience in the criminal justice system in Ontario; excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills. Proficiency in French and English.
