You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement the long-term vision for early learning and child care in Ontario and support the government's commitment to provide full-day kindergarten for four and five year olds.

About the job
• provide school boards and other stakeholders with information and clarification regarding legislation, policies and programs;
• ensure programs are implemented and consistent with ministry's philosophy;
• work with senior board officials to develop effective working partnerships in support of the ministry's changing business directions;
• monitor and report on effectiveness of the program implementation;
• facilitate implementation of new policies;
• identify and analyze current and emerging issues; and
• assist in the formulation of strategies, options and recommendations.
What you bring to the team
Mandatory requirements
• proficiency in English and superior level written and oral French
• member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
Technical Knowledge
• You have thorough knowledge of Ontario educational system, relevant legislation, school board operations, educational theories and practices.
Communication and Leadership Skills
• You have proven leadership, facilitation, coordination and organizational skills to provide liaison role with senior school board officials and other stakeholders.
• You have effective oral and written communication and consultation skills.
Analytical Skills
• You have analytical skills to review legislation/program curriculum and standards to provide interpretation and clarification to school boards.
