The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Chief Electoral Office division, is seeking a detail-oriented individual within the Project Management Office to develop and maintain data tracking tools, processes and reports in support of the Event Readiness Program (ERP). You will:

• elicit, analyze, validate and communicate quality data management requirements and recommendations into documentation and conceptual design;
• perform analysis of new and existing data sources;
• identify ERP data quality problems and participate in the development and implementation of corrective action;
• identify, develop and customize standard reports and reporting formats;
• conduct trend analysis and identify patterns by comparing multiple datasets;
• create tracking tools that compile large amounts of data into smaller datasets that allows for quick extraction of relevant data into executive-level reports; and
• contribute to the design, development and delivery of new ERP data systems.

What you bring to the team


Knowledge

• strong understanding of relational database concepts, database management software (i.e. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft Access) and database tools;
• intermediate Excel programming skills including macros, tables and visual basic programming to automate the transfer of large datasets from Excel into other MS products such as Visio, Word;
• intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
• familiarity with web-based survey tools (e.g. Fluid Surveys) to create online surveys, set up mailing lists and administer survey data;
• self-starter that is able to listen to requirements, translate into action and implement with little supervision;
• ability to work with rapidly changing requirements and very tight timelines;
• strong business analysis, documentation and communication skills; and
• ability to work individually and within a team environment.
