About the job
Work Description:
Support a team in project work and/or communications planning and delivery in our Marketing and Communications section to:
• Compile, process and product orders from parks and merchandise from manufacturers
• Load and unload all shipments, and create shipping manifests
• Prepare orders for shipping to parks and load product onto trucks
• Prepare, organize, monitor, and process sales reports received from stores
• Perform data entry and word processing activities as part of record keeping
• Follow up on merchandise inquiries from parks, manufacturers and shippers on merchandise, and follow purchasing procedures to reconcile expenditures
• Maintain inventories in an organized and neat manner; and plan, organize, coordinate and manage the daily assigned work
• Market to 80 Ontario Parks locations souvenir products and merchandise and provide customer service

Qualification Requirements:
Communications and Interpersonal Skills
• You apply your verbal, written, listening communication skills and customer service skills to respond to phone, email and in-person inquiries and provide information to internal clients and/or public
Technical Skills and Knowledge
• You apply your experience using Microsoft Office product suite, such as word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), databases; email and Internet to conduct research and prepare and update data base files
• You process and input data accurately and generate reports, paying close attention to details
Organizational Skills
• You apply your planning and organizational skills to collect, organize, review and verify information/data through review of files, reports, and other means
• You can work independently; you plan, organize and prioritize multiple priorities to meet competing deadlines
Other Requirements
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment with some physical activity involved, including lifting and carrying weighted items in accordance with the Employment Standards Act and Workplace Health and Safety regulations
