Bring your technical expertise and consulting skills to the Central Agencies I&IT Cluster, where you will provide subject matter expertise in identifying, analyzing and documenting business and information requirements to support application system development projects.
About the job
You will:
• gather business and information requirements for application system development projects
• document and analyze requirements, identify opportunities for reuse and provide advice to management on viability and strategies for automation
• analyze the current I&IT landscape and assist in the development and maintenance of technology roadmaps
• participate in preparing reports and presentation material for current and future states and technology roadmaps
• support clients and cluster staff in applying technology roadmaps to guide I&IT activities
• assist project managers with the development of business and information architectures
• assist in developing and maintaining architecture artefacts in the business and information domains
• assist project managers with maintaining project plans, tracking costs and status updates
• develop presentations, reports and communication material using office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
What you bring to the team
Technical Knowledge and Skills
You have:
• extensive knowledge and skills in gathering, analyzing and documenting business and information requirements
• knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC) including the planning, analysis, design, building, testing, implementation and post-implementation activities
• knowledge of information technologies such as servers, storage, networks, operating systems, database technologies, security technologies, development tools and programming languages
• knowledge of database design, data structures, data warehouses, business intelligence and related practices
• knowledge of IT service management such as incident management, configuration and change management, and operations management
• proficiency with office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio to develop project documents and presentations
• proficiency in using project management information systems such as the Project Portfolio Management tool (PPM)
Architecture Knowledge and Skills
You have:
• knowledge of business and information architectures
• general knowledge of architecture principles, framework and practices
• general knowledge of application architectures and technology architectures
• general knowledge of systems security and privacy as they relate to architectures
Analytical and Consultation Skills
You have:
• analytical skills to analyze the clients' IT requirements and provide advice to management on strategies for automation
• consultation skills to gather business and information requirements of the client, through workshops, individual or group meetings
Communication Skills
You have:
• excellent written communication skills to prepare project documents and presentations
• excellent oral communication and presentation skills
Project Management Knowledge and Skills
You have:
• general knowledge of project management components and processes, including planning, scheduling, costing, procurement, resources, implementation, quality control, communications, stakeholder management, risk management and project integration
