About the job
Using your political acuity and ability to establish relationships, you will:
• coordinate overall performance monitoring, analysis and results measurement for the maintenance, reconstruction and upgrading of roads and bridges in the region
• provide leadership in the development of annual and long-term capital programs and funding strategies
• lead the analysis of infrastructure needs information, the identification of resource requirements, and make recommendations
• support the development and implementation of corporate infrastructure management initiatives
• provide regional liaison with program partners
What you bring to the team
Mandatory requirement:
• You must be licensed by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
Leadership skills:
• You have demonstrated change and transformation leadership skills to lead a team in achieving corporate goals, while nurturing innovation and promoting learning and growth.
Technical knowledge:
• You have applied knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering and infrastructure management methods pertaining to design, rehabilitation and performance of roads and bridges.
• You have applied knowledge of financial analysis, business planning and budgeting practices.
• You have proven ability to lead technical studies and analyses of capital programs to formulate priorities and recommend funding allocation and investment strategies for road rehabilitation.
People skills:
• You have demonstrated political acuity with excellent interpersonal, influence, negotiating and communication skills.
• You have proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external program partners and to reconcile competing interests.
