About the job
In this role, your work will include:
• Supervising and providing leadership to staff engaged in various business support services
• Coordinating I&IT and providing technical leadership and recommendations
• Providing policy, procedural and business planning advice and analysis
• Recommending effective quality services options and resolving complex issues
• Planning, supervising and coordinating business and administrative services
• Developing, recommending and implementing service delivery processes, ensuring that service levels are met and work plans and priorities are delivered
• Coordinating the regional training & development program and the regional staffing plan
• Conducting facility-related initiatives, including emergency preparedness and building security
• Preparing and managing budgets and expenditures
• Monitoring regional service agreements, ensuring standards are met
• Leading projects and providing advice to management on interpretation and application of government processes and procedures
What you bring to the team
Technical Knowledge:
• You have knowledge of government administrative policies and procedures
• You have the ability to interpret and apply legislation
• You have knowledge of resource management systems and planning processes with the ability to advise senior management on program objectives and services
• You have knowledge of maintaining a section budget, procurement and accommodation procedures
Human Resources and Project Management Knowledge and Skills:
• You have knowledge of human resources planning, procedures and policies, developing staffing plans, conducting organizational analysis
• You have experience preparing contracts and service agreements
• You have project management, organizational and planning skills with experience coordinating a range of concurrent projects in the areas of facilities, PC Fleet, I&IT and administration
Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
• You can lead a team of staff to meet targets by monitoring their performance
• You are able to prepare complex reports
• You can work effectively with staff and senior management and build relationships with clients and other stakeholders
• You are able to achieve consensus with clients when dealing with contentious resource and service delivery issues

As a result of the recently agreed to AMAPCEO collective agreement, a new job evaluation system will be implemented on October 1, 2013. In the new job evaluation system, the classification level of this position is Level 4 with a salary range of $60,650.00 - $82,250.00.
