About the job

In this role, you will:
• develop and provide financial and economic analysis to senior decision makers, including participating in the development of the Province's fiscal strategy and architecture
• coordinate and author sections of the Provincial Budget, Fall Economic Statement and other reports
• take a lead role within the ministry in collecting, summarizing and analysing financial and economic information
• work on a wide range of issues related to the Province's fiscal plan and evaluate the Province's progress in meeting its current fiscal targets

• You have demonstrated knowledge of both the theory and practice of economics, accounting and finance
• You have knowledge of the application of economic and fiscal policy analysis, government planning and reporting procedures
• You have knowledge of public fiscal policy theories and practices

• You can anticipate concerns and develop potential resolutions
• You can lead the economic and fiscal policy analysis and planning activities of the team in a high pressure environment under tight timelines
