The Ministry of Transportation, Road User Safety, Driver Improvement office requires a team-oriented individual experienced in high-volume customer service to support the ministry's road safety agenda.
About the job
In this role you will look after scheduling and providing information to clients by:
• receive and process documents related to the Driver Improvement program
• schedule and maintain an itinerary of the Driver Improvement Counsellor's activities
• respond to telephone enquiries from the public in a call centre atmosphere.
• prepare administrative reports and respond to e-mail, mail, and fax enquiries
What you bring to the team
Mandatory:
• You are proficiency in English and oral French at the advanced level
Technical Knowledge:
• You have the ability to interpret and apply legislation ( i.e. Highway Traffic Act)
• You have knowledge of computer systems to access and evaluate records, prepare and produce letters in accordance with policies and procedures
Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
• You have interpersonal skills to deal tactfully with clients
• You have oral and written skills to compose correspondence, answer telephone and direct calls
Organizational, Planning and Problem Solving Skills:
• You have organizational and planning skills to coordinate the scheduling of Driver Improvement activities and Senior Driver Group Education Sessions in the region
• You have problem solving skills to resolve scheduling conflicts and complaints from the public
