The Community Services I&IT Cluster, iACCESS Solutions Branch is seeking someone to lead the design and implementation of multiple business and technology projects having ministry-wide impact.
About the job
You will:
• conduct complex business and systems analysis and design
• propose business and technology applications to clients
• re-engineer large-scale business processes
• develop strategies to maximize technology
• develop innovative business and technology analysis solutions and technology performance standards
• prepare business cases, project costs, specifications and test plans
• coordinate and evaluate the work of external consultants
What you bring to the team
Technical expertise:
• You have knowledge and experience with large-scale complex business application analysis, design and implementation, information architecture and data modeling, programming concepts and languages, Internet technology and emerging technologies.
• You have demonstrated knowledge of business process analysis techniques.
• You have knowledge of design and development of n-tier web-based applications, database technologies, software, tools and languages such as: Oracle, Java Script, J2EE, Websphere, HTML, XML, SQL and; Solaris operating environment. Knowledge of Internet technologies.
Large-scale project management skills:
• You have knowledge and experience with large-scale project management techniques and methodologies to support complex project implementation.
• You have knowledge of administrative policies and directives with respect to procurement of technology and services, tendering process, contract negotiation/administration and budgeting processes to lead projects and develop project plans.
Analytical skills:
• You have analytical skills to identify and assess systems requirements in support of business objectives, assist in design, development and implementation of cost effective IT solutions.
• You have the ability to analyze/evaluate design alternatives, resolve system design/administration issues, and conduct feasibility assessments.
Communication skills:
• You have excellent oral and written communication skills to develop business cases and reports and facilitate presentations.
• You have effective consultation and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
