About the job

As Fire College Instructor, you will:

• Facilitate and teach assigned subjects;
• Participate in the design, development and delivery of course curriculum;
• Coordinate the delivery of various courses;
• Conduct student evaluations.

Adult Education Knowledge and Experience

• You have knowledge of and experience with adult education principles, techniques, and practices to prepare and present training programs
• You know models of teaching and have experience with curriculum development in order to design and deliver course content

Essential Skills

• You have research and evaluation skills to develop, administer, score, and evaluate written, oral, and practical examinations
• You have strong oral and written communication skills to deliver course material and presentations

Fire Service Knowledge

• You are familiar with fire service professional education and training programs and operations
• You have knowledge of fire department operations and fire services personnel roles and responsibilities
