About the job

In this position you will provide human resources, financial and administrative support services to the Youth Centre Administrator and management team by:

• Reviewing, preparing and processing a variety of human resources/payroll documents
• Providing administrative support to local committees
• Providing support to management in the use of best business, financial and human resources practices
• Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget an in-year expenditure forecasts
• Providing financial and program statistical support by retrieving computerized data and preparing reports
• Monitoring and tracking expenditures

What you bring to the team


Office Administrative skills:

• you have demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing general office administrative and clerical support.
• you have general awareness of human resources practices and ability to interpret and apply related policies, collective agreements and legislation when processing related documents.

Financial management skills:

• you have working knowledge of accounting and budgeting practices to assist in the preparation of annual budget, forecasts, expenditure tracking.
• you have the ability to work accurately with mathematical figures.

Communication and Interpersonal skills:

• you have the ability to provide effective support and information to managers and staff and prepare memos, letters, reports.
• you have the ability to exercise discretion and tact when working with confidential information.

Organizational and Leadership skills:

• you have well developed organizational skills and ability to assess workload demands and determine priorities.
• you have demonstrated group leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Computer Skills:

• you have Proficiency with computers, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, email and computerized human resources information and financial management systems to prepare reports and correspondence.
