WORK DESCRIPTION

• Assist the housekeeping supervisor with day to day cleaning and maintenance services.
• Wash area floors
• Assist with the cleaning of the area washrooms,
• Assist with garbage disposals
• Assist the staff in the business unit with day to day delivery of goods and supplies to various floors within the area.
• Assist the purchasing staff with a wide range of administrative functions.
• Position requires lifting and carrying weighted items in accordance with the Employment Standards Act and Workplace Health and Safety regulations
• Work may require experience specified/listed in the questions below or other similar tasks as assigned

Mandatory requirements

All positions require students to be 15 years of age on the first day of employment with no age limit.

Some positions require students to be 15-24 years of age (or 15-29 years of age if you are a person with a disability) on the first day of employment due to program funding.

Qualifications Requirements

Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• You apply your written communication skills to prepare documents
• You apply your customer service and interpersonal skills to interact and assist guests by providing information
• Microsoft Office product suite skills, such as word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), databases; using the email and Internet to conduct research

Technical Skills and Knowledge
• You will be provided with training on the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
Other Requirements
• Ability to work in an environment with some physical activity involved, including lifting and carrying weighted items in accordance with the Employment Standards Act and Workplace Health and Safety regulations
