The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Technology Services Division, seeks an organized and motivated individual to coordinate, plan, control and implement the vendor management of election event delivery, relating to telecommunications equipment and services for all returning and satellite offices within the province.

About the job

You will:
• Act as the single point of contact for all telecommunications network and voice vendors for Elections Ontario offices (Headquarters, Returning Offices and satellite offices);
• Co-ordinate and provide support, specifically in the provision and installation of telecommunications systems;
• Manage Elections Ontario/Telecommunications provider relationships to ensure adherence to contract and Service Level Agreement (SLA) conditions;
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on closures and provide relevant feedback and data on all aspects of the project;
• Develop project plans and schedules for the coordination and implementation of telecommunications equipment and services and provide guidance to project teams;
• Ensure all site-visits, installations, deliveries and configurations are performed within specific timeframes;
• Ensure timely closeout of telecommunication services upon event completion; and
• Provide regular status updates and reports on service deliveries and installations, telephone and internet uptime/downtime, resolution time of issues/service calls, etc.

What you bring to the team


Knowledge and Skills

• Sound knowledge of telecommunications methods, techniques and demonstrated skills in the application of telecommunications theories and practices;
• Demonstrated knowledge of telecommunication service provider's equipment and procedures (Bell), in order to plan and coordinate the work of technicians and to ensure work is completed according to the SLA;
• Knowledge and experience applying procurement practices, techniques and methods;
• Strong project management and coordination skills; and
• Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
