About the job
In this role, you will:
• organize and maintain electronic and manual records, data and filing systems
• make arrangements for meetings and conferences
• prepare, coordinate and distribute related agendas and material
• make travel and accommodation bookings
• prepare and process expense claims, invoices and purchasing documentation
• maintain office supply and equipment inventory
• provide reception services by receiving and screening visitors, internal and external telephone calls
• liaise with court and government officials, staff, judiciary, lawyers and public
• assist with recruitment activities
What you bring to the team
Technical and Other Essential Skills
• You have the ability to interpret and apply administrative, financial and human resources policies, legislation and collective agreements in order to perform a variety of administrative duties and provide information and assistance relating to program and administrative services
• You can prepare and process expense claims, invoices and purchasing documentation and assist with recruitment activities
• You have proficiency in grammar and spelling in order to accurately prepare meeting minutes, draft routine letters and proofread for typographical errors and completeness
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• You have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to prepare correspondence, reports and confidential material
• You can respond to both corporate, divisional and public inquiries
Computer Skills
• You have the ability to use a personal computer with standard applications such as operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets and email software in order to maintain electronic and manual records and data, schedule meetings and produce typed material such as reports, correspondence and presentations
Organizational Skills
• You have demonstrated ability to organize workload with judgment and discretion to balance demands in a high volume environment
Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
• You have proven problem solving and analytical skills to verify financial information, payroll and resolve difficult and contentious issues difficult and contentious issues
