About the job
Within this position you will be responsible for:
- providing expertise, advice and consultation to clients on use and evaluation of risk management and control strategies
- conducting and/or leading a variety of strategic complex projects in the areas of compliance, financial management, special investigations, risk assessment and management
- evaluating client needs and identifying consulting and education services to improve strategic and operational planning
- providing team leadership for staff and assisting with technical training and coaching
- effectively managing relationships with clients and stakeholders
- preparing and/or reviewing various communication pieces including audit results papers, analysis documents, recommendations for clients and responses to Freedom of Information requests.
What you bring to the team
Audit and Risk Management Skills:
- you have knowledge of auditing/accounting standards, principles, practices and methodologies
- you have experience using risk assessment/management techniques and methodologies to assist in operational/strategic planning, policy, and programs
- you can plan, lead, coordinate strategic audit projects, identify risks, and develop advisory plans
- you are familiar with business applications, computer assisted techniques and audit management applications.
- you have experience leading and conducting assessments of complex business processes and operationsLeadership and Relationship Management Skills:
- You have change management skills to introduce innovative approaches to current practices
- You have facilitation skill, consulting skills and knowledge to influence, advise and negotiate with others effectively
- You have team leadership skills to lead staff effectively
- You have effective relationship management skills to maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
