The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Investment and Development Office, seeks a dynamic, business-minded individual to help attract international investment into Ontario's diverse and growing tourism industry.
About the job
In this role, you will:
• Coordinate investment and attraction activities, such as investment shows, investor meetings, lead generation follow-up and information dissemination;
• Assist with the implementation and on-going maintenance of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) business strategy:
• Use CRM business tools to analyze and update client data, identify key client characteristics, new services and products;
• Conduct research on issues, trends and opportunities facing Ontario's tourism industry;
• Assess the effectiveness of communication initiatives for investment attraction and retention activities;
• Provide regular updates on the public facing website;
• Coordinate annual tourism investment advertising campaigns;
• Develop and enhance business relationships with key stakeholders.
What you bring to the team
Knowledge
• You have knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) business tools to effectively track and monitor investment leads
• You have general knowledge of investment servicing, investment retention and expansion, business analysis, economic development and marketing tools, techniques and/or methodsResearch, Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
• You have knowledge of data research methods and techniques
• You can conduct data analysis and client profiling in support of investment and business development for domestic and international clients
• You can conduct research on issues, trends and opportunities facing the tourism sector
• You can facilitate issues identification and resolution, and provide information, service and/or solutions to meet clients' needsOrganizational Skills
• You can determine work priorities and respond to multiple work demands
• You can plan and coordinate concurrent projects under tight deadlinesCommunication, Interpersonal and Presentation Skills
