LCBO's Corporate Communications department has an opening for a strategic, creative and proactive professional who wants to join a well-respected, award-winning team. You'll help identify and address media relations opportunities and challenges and develop and deliver strategies designed to enhance the LCBO's reputation as a profitable, responsible and customer-focused provincial government enterprise.

What you bring to the team

Knowledge and Skills

You have demonstrated experience in the media relations department of a government ministry, public or private corporation. You have responded to day-to-day reporter enquiries, providing accurate and compelling information on products, services, issues, events and stakeholder relations. You have conducted print, radio, TV and online interviews, as well as made effective use of social media tools. You have a proven track record developing and implementing proactive outreach strategies to journalists to encourage positive coverage for your organization and to generate earned media.

You can develop a wide range of media and communications materials and have shown you can maintain positive and ongoing relationships with Ontario media. You've proven your effectiveness in a high-profile, fast-paced environment, quickly developing key messages, managing challenging media issues and providing strategic communications guidance to senior management and operational staff. Sound knowledge of retailing, Ontario politics and the beverage alcohol industry.
