What can I expect to do in this role?

We are looking for a strategic and engaging leader to oversee various emerging stakeholder and revenue initiatives through a team of Senior Business and Financial Analysts, working with key leaders from across the organization.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced natural leader with excellent communication skills and a thoughtful approach to working with varied business areas.

How do I qualify?

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead and manage a team of professionals and key strategic initiatives as identified by senior management. This includes leading or participating as a critical member of cross-functional project teams.

2. Work collaboratively and foster relationships across the organization and with external partners to undertake critical analysis that will identify gaps, monitor trends and potential implications.

3. Proactively provide expertise and input to develop and improve upon concepts, models, systems and processes that will facilitate better decision making and create greater value to both internal and external stakeholders.

4. Plan, manage and control the activities of the Strategic Revenue Initiatives department, which includes: annual planning of projects and priorities, coordination and engagement with project sponsors, ensuring the function is adequately and competently staffed, allocating work, establishing and monitoring performance objectives, conducting performance reviews and providing guidance and expertise to staff.

5. Participate as a member of Strategic Revenue Policy Branch and divisional management teams in the development, identification and implementation of divisional and enterprise-wide strategy, goals and objectives.

6. Ensure risk management, quality management and continuous improvement systems are established to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and cost benefit of services and programs.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-7 years of policy development, leading strategic initiatives, and financial, business and/or investment analysis experience
• Bachelor's degree in business, public policy/management, finance or other related fields
• Demonstrated managerial experience particularly in enterprise wide initiatives or projects
• Applied knowledge of economic/statistical, quantitative/qualitative research and analysis methods and techniques
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated political acumen, diplomacy and communication skills
