About the job
We are looking for self-starters to provide business and financial analysis expertise and advice in support of various strategic and emerging revenue initiatives across the WSIB.
The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and a thoughtful approach to working with other business areas in a project oriented environment.
What you bring to the team
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead projects and/or participate as a member of cross-functional project teams related to strategic revenue initiatives.
2. Perform analysis and prepare various financial and business reports to identify gaps, monitor trends and potential implications of various strategic revenue initiatives.
3. Proactively provide expertise and input to develop and improve upon concepts, models, systems and processes that will facilitate better decision making and create greater value to both internal and external stakeholders.
4. Collaborate with peers across the WSIB to identify, recommend and develop divisional and enterprise-wide strategy, goals and objectives in support of strategic revenue initiatives.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 5-7 years of policy development, working on strategic initiatives, and financial, business and/or investment analysis experience
• Bachelor's degree in business, public policy/management, finance or other related fields
• Applied knowledge of economic/statistical, quantitative/qualitative research and analysis methods and techniques
• Experience being a key member on enterprise wide initiatives or projects
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated political acumen, diplomacy and communication skills
