The Ministry of the Attorney General's Victims and Vulnerable Persons Division (VVPD) seeks an individual with a community development/program management background.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:
• provide advisory consulting services to community-based organizations
• monitor the performance and progress of transfer payment recipients in their delivery of Ministry-funded victim service programs
• provide policy and program direction to VVPD funded organizations within the assigned geographic areas
• clarify program expectations and conduct ongoing analyses of trends and developments in the delivery of victims' services

Note: travel within the geographic region is required

How do I qualify?

Mandatory:

• you have a valid Ontario Driver's class G licence

Technical Knowledge:

• you have demonstrated experience in the management, governance, accountability structures and processes of social service administration
• you have excellent knowledge of transfer payment systems-planning methodologies and practices

Problem Solving, Analytical and Consultation Skills:

• you have demonstrated quantitative skills to analyze program and statistical data
• you can work with financial data, including financial statement and reports, to monitor and review budgets and expenditures of funded organizations
• you have problem solving, negotiating and consultation skills to deal with diverse stakeholder groups
• you have demonstrated analytical skills to identify and investigate areas of concern/problems, contentious issues related to Ministry funded agencies

Other Related Skills:

• you have demonstrated skills in strategic and operational planning and community development to provide expertise and advice on funding approval processes
• you have demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• you can exercise judgement in the application and interpretation of legislation, policies, procedures and funding approval processes related to the delivery of ministry programs to victims
• you have organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload
• you have the ability to work as a contributing team member
• you have knowledge of computer software to develop correspondence and to provide reports/spreadsheets and presentations
