The Strategy, Stewardship and Risk Management Branch seeks a Senior Strategy Analyst to provide advice and expertise in the development, maintenance and delivery of strategic and business planning projects and prepare critical reports.

About the job

You will:

• lead elements of strategic planning for Tax and Benefits Administration (TBA);
• complete qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to assess alternatives;
• lead special projects;
• develop recommendations and options for senior leaders;
• and manage various strategic initiatives.

What you bring to the team


Knowledge of Business Strategic Planning and Management, Organizational Development and Change Management:

• You have knowledge of theory, principles, and practices of business strategy, strategic planning and management, organizational development and effectiveness, and change management to coordinate and contribute to the development of organizational strategies.
• You have the ability to apply your knowledge of political, social and economic issues and political strategic directions, policy, and legislation to ensure that objectives and directions are considered in the development of strategic plans.

Project Management, Problem-Solving, Research and Analytical Skills:

• You have experience leading projects and initiatives, applying project management principles, tools and techniques.
• You demonstrate planning and organizational skills.
• You have problem-solving skills.
• You have research, analytical and evaluative skills to research, investigate, assess, review and synthesize information.
• You have experience analyzing existing processes and making recommendations for improvement.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

• You have consultation, consensus-building, negotiation, conflict resolution, advisory, influence, and persuasion skills to establish relationships and facilitate discussion with staff and stakeholders.
• You have oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills, to respond to issues, provide recommendations, and prepare reports, analyses, briefing materials and correspondence.
