Showcase your technical and leadership skills! The Cyber Security Branch is looking for a professional to lead the engagement process and provide technical guidance on security requirements and business objectives, in support of optimum client service.

What can I expect to do in this role?

As a Cluster Security Lead, you will:

• lead the development and maintenance of client/business engagement processes;
• develop and recommend strategies and plans for increasing awareness and adoption of corporate security services by all Clusters.
• identify opportunities, gaps and solutions to enhance employee engagement.
• provide technical guidance and interpretation on the Branch engagement process;
• track and evaluate client/business engagement initiatives, and recommends improvements/change;
• coordinate issues resolution, anticipating issues, leads risk assessment and development of options and solutions to mitigate or resolve issues;
• advise managers on how to respond to escalated issues to prevent further escalation;
• assist staff and project teams in the identification and addressing of overall and project-specific security requirements for governance;
• implement risk mitigation strategies, and participates in monitoring;
• provide input into the development of strategic and operational, business and human resources plans;

How do I qualify?

Communication and Relationship Management Skills:

• you can make presentations, recommendations and exchange information with clients and stakeholders
• you have written communication skills to lead the preparation of, or prepare, reports, planning/strategy documents and other program documentation
• you can develop and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with staff, management, clients and stakeholders
• you have advisory and persuasion skills to provide technical guidance and interpretation to management clients and stakeholders
• you can plan, lead and coordinate engagement processes and elicit cooperation, input and feedback

Technical Knowledge:

You have knowledge of:
• information technology mandate, directions, organization, structure, programs, policies, standards, processes and procedures.
• financial forecasting, accounting and reporting processes.
• decision making processes; strategic and operational planning and business development principles, methodologies and processes
• operational elements of I&IT, including information security, business systems, technology infrastructure and operational services;
• I&IT technical elements, including hardware, software, networks, databases and applications;
• security lines of business, issues and trends;
• client services delivery and engagement principles, processes, methodologies and practices;
• relevant trends, best practices and developments in client/business engagement and business modeling;
• performance measurement processes to monitor portfolio performance in relation to plans, goals and standards

Project Management and Leadership Skills:

• you have knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques and tools
• you have organizational and planning skills to conduct projects and process reviews, and undertake related activities
• you can provide team leadership and direction to staff on projects

Research, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

• you can research, analyze and evaluate methods, techniques and tools to conduct research, and synthesize and analyze information from a wide range of
sources
• you can assess client/business needs and priorities, develop employee engagement strategies and plans, and make recommendations to management
• you can identify, analyze existing or potential issues and problems associated with employee engagement, prioritize them, formulate options, and recommend
solutions and/or course of actions.
• you can develop options and recommendations to ensure branch alignment with Cluster objectives, priorities and IT requirements
• you can develop, communicate and implement information management and information-flow systems to facilitate coordination, prioritization and reporting of all work
