IT Source is currently looking for highly skilled technical professionals to join our high performance Project Management Practice. In this role, you will be assigned to a variety of projects supporting the Ontario Public Service (OPS). As you move from project to project, your assignments through IT Source will vary in length and will be located at a variety of client site locations throughout the GTA and Oshawa.

What can I expect to do in this role?

As Project Manager, you will::
•manage all phases or specific components of multiple large multi-ministry and multi-year projects
•manage internal stakeholder relationships while partnering with business areas
•manage project teams and provide guidance and expertise on the use of information technology in client business planning and business improvement initiatives

Travel to between Oshawa and Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will be required for project work.

How do I qualify?

Project Management Knowledge and Experience

• you have demonstrated project management experience managing all phases of IT projects, knowledge of project management theory, methodologies, techniques related to all phases of an IT project life cycle (e.g. PMI/PMBOK, SDLC, UPM, ITIL, Agile/Waterfall etc.), to lead and manage end to end IT projects
• you have experience developing an integrated project plan and managing activities/resources throughout the project life

Technical Knowledge and Experience

• you have knowledge of project-relevant state of the art multi-platform IT technology, IT technology development, implementation and operations management
• you have experience managing I&IT projects across a wide range of enterprise based systems, platforms and technologies, with an understanding of areas of expertise associated with contributing project roles
• you have demonstrated technical skills and understanding of the advances in technology to provide technical expertise and team leadership
• you have an understanding of financial management to develop and manage project budgets
• you have procurement knowledge to support policies and practices of software solutions, hardware and services

Communication Skills

• you have demonstrated consultation, negotiation and mediation skills to communicate project deliverables, resolve conflicts and develop and sustain effective working relationships
• you have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to design develop and deliver presentations, prepare proposals and business cases

Technical Leadership Skills

• you have demonstrated experience leading I&IT projects and in providing leadership for technical project teams
• you have experience in day-to-day management of technical resources to complete projects on time, scope and budget

Organizational and Problem Solving Skills

• you have demonstrated experience evaluating and defining project management requirements, identifying options and making recommendations
• you have demonstrated experience identifying, monitoring and managing risks and issues through to resolution or mitigation
• you understand change management principles and techniques to facilitate business process change
