The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, Supply Chain Ontario (SCO), seeks highly motivated results-oriented professionals to implement innovative procurement strategies and initiatives that support the procurement of goods, services and information technology goods and services.
About the job
You will:
• be responsible for the development and contract management of enterprise Vendor of Record arrangements for goods, services and information technology goods and services;
• plan and lead large-scale supply chain, procurement, and business transformation projects and initiatives using a disciplined project management approach;
• support, develop and implement innovative procurement strategies and programs;
• research, analyze and recommend best practices and sourcing strategies to executives;
• provide expert advice, direction and services on multiple aspects of procurement, policy and project management to a broad range of clients in the Ontario Public Service;
• build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders.

Stakeholder, Relationship Management & Consultation Skills:
• You can build, manage and maintain successful and effective relationships with colleagues, team members, clients, stakeholders and vendors that enable business performance and results.
• You can analyze business relationships to identify and recommend opportunities and improvements.
• You have excellent verbal and written communications skills to develop and deliver effective presentations, briefings and issues notes.
Procurement Strategy & Policy Expertise:
• You have proven experience and knowledge of the principles of procurement as well as the policy, laws, planning and best practices in the procurement life cycle.
• You have knowledge and experience in advanced procurement methodologies such as Category Management and Strategic Sourcing.
• You can research and analyze industry trends to develop recommendations for cost effective enterprise wide strategies.
• You have knowledge of industry product trends as well as knowledge of goods, services, and information technology.
Project Leadership/Project Management Skills:
• You have experience planning and leading large-scale projects involving multiple clients using disciplined project management principles and methodologies.
• You have superior planning and analytical skills.
• You can manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
