The Community Services I&IT Cluster needs your expertise in I&IT systems administration and technical architecture of Siebel to support the development and maintenance of secure business applications.

About the job

You will:
• serve as the senior Siebel technical expert for the Branch to address the full range of needs in the design, development, implementation, maintenance and review of technical architecture plans for Siebel based solutions and other technologies
• provide senior technical expertise in the design and development of technical architecture environments, frameworks and platforms for applications serving multiple client ministries
• take a leadership role in the consultation process to identify and define corporate requirements with senior management of client ministries
• lead project teams and provide project management and team direction

What you bring to the team

Technical Knowledge:

• you have knowledge of Siebel technical architecture design, systems management and administration methodologies, tools and techniques, database management, database design and data architecture to use Siebel technologies
• you have knowledge of three tier architecture (i.e. Siebel application architecture), web technologies, data modelling, application architecture design, application development methodologies, release management and secure systems design to use Siebel technologies
• you have knowledge of operating software including Siebel, Microsoft Windows, Solaris, web server and application server software, web technologies, tools and methodologies (i.e. Oracle, SQL and DB2)

Project Management and Consultation Skills:

• you have knowledge of project management methodologies, analytical tools and processes
• you have knowledge of tendering processes and contract administration
• you have consulting skills to provide specialized advisory services to senior management of client ministries

Problem Solving and Evaluation Skills:

• you have reasoning and problem solving skills to review and analyze client ministry systems management, data management and application development issues, concerns and initiatives
• you have problem solving skills to assess client requirements in relation to multi-purpose and multi-client applications and to lead project teams
• you have evaluation skills to work on client ministry information architecture by developing technical design features and alternatives

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• you have communication skills to document processes, information, application requirements, business justification and develop technical documentation
• you have presentation skills to present reports, conduct training and provide committee input
• you have interpersonal skills to clarify and discuss business information requirements and propose alternate solutions
