About the job

• contribute to the development of a strategic framework and overall vision for EQAO's social media and digital communication products and services
• develop digital media publishing plans, social media tools and products and creative content for social media platforms that resonate with audience
• recommend and implement policies, procedures and standards for bilingual social and digital media programs
• develop responses to public and stakeholder enquiries through social media channels
• provide expertise, guidance, and training services on social media tools, systems guidelines and standards to meet client communication needs
• ensure quality control and compliance with government social media policies and legislative requirements

What you bring to the team


Mandatory requirement:

• You are proficient in English and oral and written French at the advanced level.

Social media and communications expertise:

• You have knowledge of corporate communications theory, planning, and social and digital media technology to develop products and provide advice
• You have knowledge of social media, media relations, marketing and advertising to develop and deliver communications strategies, advice and programs
• You can apply relevant legislation and policies to ensure compliance with corporate requirements

Project management skills:

• You can plan, execute and manage the development and production of social media communication programs and projects in collaboration with stakeholders.
• You can lead the research and assessment of digital and social media technology options to meet organization communication needs.

Stakeholder management skills:

• You can work effectively with stakeholders to develop and implement social and digital media strategies, policies and product solutions.
• You can present emerging opportunities, provide authoritative briefings, and consult with senior management and clients.

Computer proficiency:

• You are proficient with software programs (such as Microsoft Suite), user interfaces, photo and video editing software and browser compatibilities to ensure optimal delivery of social media initiatives.
• You are familiar with the development of web pages and search engine optimization to develop content for best results and design capabilities for social media.

Analytical and problem-solving skills:

• You have analytical and problem-solving skills to determine communication requirements, analyze statistics and resolve social media quality and delivery issues.
