About the job
You will:
• lead and/or participate on multi-disciplinary teams that will develop
and transfer relevant provincial policies, plans and program with a focus on natural heritage, including wetland conservation and invasive species.
What you bring to the team
Technical expertise:
• You have applied knowledge of current biological/ecological sciences and principles, resource management practices and planning approaches.
• You have applied knowledge of and risk assessment methodology.
• You have demonstrated knowledge of GIS, delineation, spatial analysis, mapping and reporting.
• You have applied statistics and data analysis techniques in a natural resource management context.Communication skills:
• You have the proven ability to make presentations to a variety of internal and external audiences, seek assistance with the development and implementation of guidelines, plans and programs, and explain new plans, programs, standards and guidelines in a clear and professional manner.
• You have shown the ability to compose high quality written products such as technical reports, briefing notes, draft Minister's correspondence, notes of advice, guidelines and summaries.Interpersonal skills:
• You have demonstrated the ability to apply effective negotiation and facilitation techniques as well as team and partnership building and maintenance approaches in order to successfully work with partners to develop and deliver programs and projects.Project Management and Organizational skills:
• You have demonstrated your project management and organizational skills to complete projects involving several components and deliver information products and reports within assigned deadlines and within budget.
