About the job

The Ministry of Education, Centre Jules-Léger, requires Helper, Food Services to work on an on-call as needed basis. You will: assist in the preparation of food; serve prepared meals; maintain cleanliness of food services area, equipment/utensils; perform other duties related to the operation of a large school cafeteria.

What you bring to the team


QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English; experience working in a large volume food services environment; experience operating commercial/institutional food preparation equipment; knowledge of food handling/preparation techniques and sanitation standards; knowledge of basic food preparation including ability to prepare simple meals, soups, salads, sandwiches etc; excellent communication skills including ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; ability to work as a team member; ability to work shifts and perform physical work; ability to communicate using Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) or willingness to obtain.
