Are you customer-oriented and enjoy working with members of the public? In this high volume front-line customer service environment, you will have the opportunity to liaise with various clients in processing International Registration Plan (IRP) applications and documents to help ensure road user safety.

About the job

In this role, you will:
• provide accurate and timely information and customer service when responding to a high volume of enquiries from the public and various client groups
• process a variety of transactions related to the International Registration Plan (IRP)
• calculate and collect fees for Ontario, other ministries and other IRP jurisdictions
• provide professional service to all clients and stakeholders

Mandatory requirements

• Proficiency in English and advanced level of oral French

Customer Service and Communication Skills

• You have highly effective communication, tact and diplomacy to exchange information with clients and deliver excellent customer service
• You have consulting skills to effectively liaise with government offices and external clients
• You can deal with distressed and irate customers

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

• You are able to research, assess, interpret and analyze documents for accuracy, authenticity and compliance with legislation and standards
• You have good judgement, problem solving abilities and pay attention to details
• You are able to interpret and apply related legislation (such as the Highway Traffic Act) to resolve client problems, license vehicles and assist carriers in completion of documents

Financial Skills

• You have knowledge of financial procedures and processes
• You have excellent mathematical skills to calculate and collect appropriate fees

Computer Skills

• You have data entry skills and are proficient with computer and office software
