About the job
As the Manager of the Wildlife Section, you will:
• Lead a team of policy and science professionals to conduct research and analysis and to develop and monitor policies related to sustainable wildlife management.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships within the Ontario government, and with stakeholders and other levels of government.
• Serve as an expert in providing strategic advice related to wildlife legislation, policy options, and recommendations to senior executives

• You have leadership experience and the ability to inspire, engage, motivate, develop and mentor professional staff to deliver on results.
• You have demonstrated success in strategic leadership to foster an environment of continuous improvement, creativity and excellence.

Relationship Management:
• You have experience building, maintaining and leveraging strong networks and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• You provide sound, strategic advice and briefings to senior executives to influence decision making and gain buy-in.
Knowledge:
• You have demonstrated experience and a track record of success in driving complex strategic policy development and review.
• You understand natural resources management, environmental protection and conservation to lead the development of policies and strategies related to wildlife management.
