The Central Agencies I&IT Cluster (CAC), Central Applications Branch, is looking for an experienced professional to manage teams supporting specific aspects of large-scale, complex business and computer systems projects, including development, maintenance, and production system services projects, designed to meet the business requirements and operational needs of CAC's business clients.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will:
• Define business system requirements of CAC clients, define project scope and approach, and identify business improvement opportunities through techniques such as business re-engineering.
• Be responsible for the delivery of projects and on-going operational support of large-complex systems, including establishing resources, reporting progress to management and the client as well as risk and issues management.
• Provide management to staff assigned on a project basis.
• Identify business and I&IT solutions and deliverables suited to the client's program needs.
• Be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling administrative aspects of own unit, including operational plans, staffing and finances.

• You have knowledge of resource planning, acquisition, organization, and change management techniques to support or champion transformation initiatives and provide on-going operational support for business critical applications.

Communication and Problem-Solving Skills:

• You can establish effective working relationships, and connect with management, clients, other project stakeholders, business partners and project staff.
• You have negotiation skills to develop and manage customer service agreements with clients and manage contracts with vendors.
• You can provide technical and general business expertise to direct staff in the resolution of business and I&IT analysis and design problems.

Technical Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of business and systems analysis, design, development, testing and implementation methods, techniques and tools.
• You have knowledge of technology, data, applications, networking and security in order to direct staff in the design and development of business systems.
• You have knowledge of multiple information technology development and production platforms, including mainframe, client/server and microcomputer/local area network (LAN), midrange. You have knowledge of emerging technologies and services to support and enable data analytics functionality for our clients. You have knowledge of imaging and high-volume transaction processing systems and related technologies.
• You can ensure that system and service implementation/delivery meet business needs and align to established budgets.
