As the IT Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for maintaining and monitoring integrated assessments on projects, financials, governance, risk, quality and third-party suppliers. This role will ensure that IT reporting and recommendations are initiated, budgeted, executed/managed, and delivered to meet annual operational objectives for executive level stakeholders expectations. We are looking for a strategic results oriented team member who proactively builds strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
How do I qualify?
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. IT portfolio advisor for oversight on governance, risk management, reporting, communication strategies, including, but not limited to:
• Guiding executive reporting through development and maturity phases;
• Benchmarking dependencies within assigned portfolios related to ITC roadmap;
• Coordinating with internal teams for portfolio health check assessments;
• Developing governance and management protocols;
• Engaging stakeholders within dependent disciplines, such as; Contract Management, Quality Management, Project Management, Procurement, and Legal;
• Championing innovative and value-add solutions for cluster deliverables;
• Developing communication vehicles for executive management teams including risk assessment, dependencies, corporate goal alignment and budget.
2. Assess IT portfolio viability within appropriate timelines and interdependencies, including, but not limited to:
• Assessing initiative proposals and business cases;
• Advising on requirement gathering consolidations;
• Creating executive management reports for portfolio risks, budget, monthly status, recommendations, health checks;
• Designing and managing communication plans and strategies;
• Managing standard change management practices;
• Monitoring and advising on operational objectives and commitments;
3. Contribute to the development of portfolio artifacts for terms of reference, concept documents, business cases.
Support Manager, Planning Management:
• Providing advice and guidance for portfolio governance and benefits realization;
• Ensuring support protocols and appropriate standards and best practices;
• Advising on portfolio interrelationships supporting priority and resource allocation decisions;
• Promoting continuous improvement through lessons learned and facilitating recommendations.
4. Implement project portfolio dashboards, scorecards and reports.
5. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Financial Responsibilities
Develop and forecast annual operating and capital budgets; monitoring and reporting on variances based on projections; and evaluating overall program expenditures.
Professional Requirements and Qualifications
• MBA education in a business or technology related field or equivalent combination of work experience.
• 8 to 10 years of experience managing large and complex projects with a strong focus on project governance
• 5 years minimum of experience in a wide range of technology areas
• A professional designation is an asset
• Strong business acumen and excellent written and verbal communication skills
